What is the WriteWise Dashboard?
Let’s explore the WriteWise Dashboard! The WriteWise Dashboard provides you with a series of options that allow you to manage your documents, manage your account, and get help if you need.
The WriteWise Dashboard options are presented as a vertical menu on the left-hand side of the screen. The available options are: New Document; My Documents; Trash; My Account; Support; WriteWise Tutorials; WriteWise Products; and Log Out.
If you ever want to return to the WriteWise Dashboard while you are working on a document, all you have to do is click the WriteWise logo.
Below are brief guides on each of the options provided by the WriteWise Dashboard.
My Documents
The default selection of the WriteWise Dashboard is the “My Documents” menu item. Here, you are given options to manage your documents. You may have up to 5 documents saved in the WriteWise platform.
Please view our New Document tutorial video or read our New Documents FAQ article to learn more about this function.
Trash
When the “Trash” menu item of the WriteWise Dashboard is selected, you will see previous documents that you have deleted from “My Documents.” Here, you will have two actions you can complete.
Action 1: Restore document
You can choose to restore a document to “My Documents” by clicking on the circular restore button. Once the document is restored, you can view and open it under “My Documents.”
Please note, you can only have five (5) active documents in “My Documents.” Any items in “Trash” will be permanently deleted after thirty (30) days, and it will be impossible to recover these files.
Watch our tutorial video on how to Export Documents or read our Export Documents FAQ article to ensure you have a copy of your work before it is permanently deleted.
Action 2: Permanently delete document
You can choose to permanently delete a document from the “Trash” folder. To do this, select the red trash icon on the document you want to delete.
A popup will appear asking you to confirm permanent deletion. If you are sure you want to completely delete the document, click “Yes, Delete.” Otherwise, click “No.”
Once a document is permanently deleted, it will be impossible to recover.
